According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one-fourth of U.S. adults aged 65 and older have lost all of their teeth. Many have lost at least one tooth. Tooth loss can have physical as well as emotional impacts on a person. Besides self-image issues, losing a substantial number of teeth can reduce the quality of life and affect daily functioning. Tooth loss can happen due to many reasons:  accidents, gum disease, tooth decay, vitamin deficiency, and genetics.  If you think you are a risk for tooth loss, consult your dentist, or find a dentist here.
